Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and who else can see it. In plain language, because you should not need a lawyer to read a privacy policy.

The short version: we collect what you type into our forms so we can reply to you, and what Stripe needs to take a payment. We keep simple visit counts on our own server with no cookies, we do not run Google Analytics or advertising trackers, and we have never sold anyone’s information and will not start.

Who we are

This site is operated by Elevateagency, a Maryland limited liability company trading as Elevate Agency, based in Boyds, Maryland. If you have a question about anything on this page, email us at ElevateAgencyWeb@gmail.com.

What you give us directly

These parts of the site collect personal information, and only because you typed it in:

  • Our quote form asks for your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number, and whatever notes you want to add about the project.
  • Our contact form asks for your name, your email address, an optional phone number, and your message.
  • Our chat box: anything you type into the chat, and your name or contact details if you choose to give them so we can follow up.
  • Booking a consultation call asks for your name, email address, phone number and the time you pick. We send you a calendar invitation with a Google Meet link for the call.

If you place an order, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details and billing address on its own hosted checkout page. Those card details never pass through this website and we never see or store them. What we do see afterwards is your name, your email address, your billing address, the last four digits of the card, and what you bought.

What gets collected automatically

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which record IP addresses, browser type, which pages were requested and when. These are ordinary hosting logs, used for security and troubleshooting.

We count visits to each page, the website that sent you here (for example a search engine), and taps on our phone number, on our own server. These counts use no cookies and store nothing that identifies you: no IP address, no profile, nothing shared with anyone else. Logged-in staff and known bots are not counted.

Our forms are protected from spam bots by Cloudflare Turnstile. To decide whether you are a real person, it receives your IP address and some technical signals about your browser.

What we deliberately do not do

It is worth being specific, because plenty of sites say the opposite of this:

  • We do not run Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics package. The only counting is the cookie-free visit count described above.
  • We do not run advertising pixels, remarketing tags, or social media trackers.
  • We do not build profiles of visitors or track you across other websites.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any price.
  • We do not send marketing email to people who only asked for a quote.

Who else handles your information

We keep the list of companies involved as short as we can. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • Stripe processes payments and stores card details securely on its own systems.
  • Brevo delivers the email our site sends, such as the notification we get when you submit a form.
  • GoDaddy hosts this website and therefore stores the site database and server logs.
  • Cloudflare provides the anti-spam check on our forms.
  • Google (Calendar and Meet) carries the invitation and video link when you book a consultation call.
  • tawk.to runs our live chat: messages you send a person on our team go through it, and it sets cookies to keep your conversation going.
  • Anthropic powers our automatic chat assistant: your questions are sent to it to write the answer, and it is not used to train its models.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. That is the whole list.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Your light or dark theme preference is saved in your own browser’s local storage and never leaves your device. Cloudflare may set a cookie as part of the spam check, and GoDaddy, our host, adds its own security seal and site script to our pages, which can set cookies of their own. WordPress sets cookies only if you log in to the site as an administrator, which does not apply to visitors.

How long we keep things

Form submissions stay in our system while there is a reasonable chance we will need them to serve you, and we clear out old enquiries that never turned into work. Records connected to a payment, a contract, or tax are kept for as long as Maryland and federal law require, which is generally several years. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, except for anything we are legally obliged to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email ElevateAgencyWeb@gmail.com and we will handle it within a reasonable time and at no cost. We will never make you jump through hoops or charge you for asking.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law. We are happy to honour those requests regardless of which state you are in.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, payment details are handled by Stripe rather than by us, and access to the site’s administration is limited to us. No system is perfect, and we would rather tell you that plainly than claim otherwise.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date below. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing a paragraph.
